Christmas and What It Means

We just got finished celebrating Christmas. What a glorious time of the year! What makes Christmas so special?  The lights and decorations-No! Is it the giving and receiving of presents to each other-No! It is for the fulfilment of John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  You see, Jesus was born in the flesh, even though He is God-This is what we celebrate on Christmas day and that is what makes it so special.

If you would open your Bible to Leviticus chapter 18, you will see all that God abhors and calls sin. All these sins are covered in the Ten Commandments. Don't let the world fool you! By the world, I mean Satan! God loves us, but he is a righteous God and cannot look upon sin; therefore He must judge us and condemn us in our sin.

You see, there is a great chasm or impassable space between us and Heaven. There is no way for us to cross over on our own power- No matter what we do or how "good" we are or think we are. This is why Jesus was born, so that He could build a "Salvation" bridge that would allow us access to Heaven and Him. That bridge is the cross that he died on and it was opened to us by His resurrection from the dead.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.(John 3:17)
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
(John 3:18)
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
(John 3:19)
For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
(John 3:20)
But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."
(John 3:21)
After this Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and he remained there with them and was baptizing.
(John 3:22)
John 3:22 is the key. We cannot just cross the bridge that Jesus built for us without sacrifice.
We must be made new and the only way to do that is to sincerely(from the heart and mind) accept Jesus as our savior and ask Him to come into our heart.
Then we must repent of our sins. Repent means being sincere and stopping whatever we are doing that is sinful in the eyes of God.
Thirdly, we must be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost who are one yet are separate.  When we are baptized, we are totally immersed (burying the old self ) and when we come up out of the water, we are raised a new creation that is "white as snow" allowing the the gift of the Holy Spirit to enter us and guide us in our new life.
Please, realize that God loves you and wants you in Heaven with Him for eternity. Hell is eternal, also, and right now you still have the choice of where you want to spend that eternity when your mortal body dies. Don't allow Satan to fool you, Hell is real! Don't wait any longer to make this decision, because we know not the day nor the hour when we will leave this world.
Find a Bible teaching church and become a member of the body and socialize as much as possible with them. Also, read your Bible and have quiet time with the Lord as much as possible-Every day if you can.  Make time for God-He made time for you!

Just a little note:
Baptism does not save you, but is an important part of being saved! In John 3:22 take note that Jesus was baptizing people and He was baptized by John the Baptist at the start of His ministry.

May you allow all of God's wonderful blessings into your life, so that you have His peace and joy!

Thanksgiving Thoughts

Have you ever thought about why we celebrate Thanksgiving?

If you would stop and realize, everything we have belongs to God. We are only stewards of it. He trusts you to take care of and use wisely whatever He has loaned you!  This is an awesome concept!  God trusting us.

We are told in His Word, that we are to be thankful no matter what is happening in our lives or whatever our lot is in life. Especially when we are going through trials and tribulations!!  How does one thank God when He allows Satan to run roughshod in our lives and in our country?

The answer is simple.  As Christians we cannot grow in our faith and trust of him, thus growing closer to Him, unless we are refined like precious metals in the fire.  Also, as children of God, He must correct us once in a while to keep us on track and keep Him number one in our lives. Without God, we are nothing but depraved animals running amok and doing whatever feels good to us individually.  Because of His love for us, we put our own welfare last, behind the needs of others. This is the way it should be. The two greatest commandments of God are:  1- Love your God with all your heart, mind and soul!  2- Love your neighbor as you love yourself!  I see no hate talk here-How about you?

God has given us life, and everything we have around us. He is a loving God-- His son Jesus died on the cross and took the punishment for all of our sins that we have committed and the ones that we have yet to commit. This alone is worth thanking Him for every day of our lives.  If you are honest with yourself, you will look back on your life and see all the blessings He has bestowed upon you and your family.

Some of you who read this, may be out of work or just struggling to survive in this economy, or may have troubles in your family, etc.  Remember! God is in charge and all He asks is that we turn all of our circumstances-good or bad-over to Him and He will take care of you.  He is a faithful, trustworthy God.  He keeps His word, even when we don't.

As said earlier, we should be thanking Him everyday we have breath!  So, please, make sure that you set aside this Thanksgiving Day for God and praise Him and thank Him for all you have.

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Saviour, there is no better time than right now!  Get on your knees and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins and invite Him into your heart. You have no chance at eternal life in Heaven if you do not do this. Jesus is the only way to be saved.

After you have done this, get yourself to a true Bible teaching church and talk to them about being baptized(immersed) for the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Start reading the Bible, I recommend John and Acts. God loves you, but He is a judging God and must punish you for your sins.  You see God cannot look on sin and He will condemn you to eternal life in Hell if you do not repent and ask for forgiveness from your heart.

May God bless you and yours.   Happy Thanksgiving!

The Usurper

There seems to be a problem with our "president" and his religious background.  I believe that he is Muslim, because of the people who he has surrounded himself with and with his actions as president.
First, he will not allow us to see proof of his citizenship by producing his true birth certificate or any other records that would prove it.  Our Constitution states that to be the President of the USA, one must be a natural born citizen, which means that both parents must be citizens.
Second, he has 40 czars that are all communist, socialist in their beliefs. Communism and socialism deny Jesus Christ.  He attended Jeremiah Wrights church for 20 years and listened to hate speech about whites and America for all that time.
Third, he apologizes for America because of all our bad things we have done to other nations. He, also, bows down to foreign leaders.
Fourth, he is the only president who refused to acknowledge the National Day of Prayer, yet he celebrates Ramadan in the white house.  He, also, states from his own mouth that the Islamic call to prayer is a beautiful thing to behold. He stated from his own mouth that he was raised Muslim and in Kenya, where he was born.

Why is it so hard for us Christians to see that he is not a Christian. He denies Jesus and worships Mohammad!
Furthermore, Jesus is love and all other "religions" are led by false prophets who are being led by Satan!
Jesus is a proven by historical fact to have lived and died on a cross on this earth over 2000 years ago.  Further more, God does not tell us in His Word to kill all who do not convert to Christianity.  Jesus stated: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14: 6  NIV  He tells us to love our brothers and sisters and to go out to all the world and proclaim His love for us.  Jesus died on that cross so that we may have eternal life with Him in Heaven.  "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him." 1 John 4: 16b  NIV  "We love  because He first loved us. If anyone says,  "I love God",  yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And He has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. 1 John 4: 19-21 NIV
My friends, my plea to you who read this is: If you have not committed your life to Jesus you are not saved, so search your heart and get on your knees and ask Jesus to come into your heart. Then ask Him for forgiveness for your sins. Start attending a Bible believing church and get yourself baptized(immersed) for the remission of your sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Baptism is important in your salvation, it is not what saves you. Please open God's Word and read Acts chapter 2 and then talk to a true Christian who lives by God's Word.  That Christian can baptize you if a church is not close by with a baptismal.  Any body of water will do.  May we meet in Heaven someday!
May God richly bless you and yours,

God is watching us-

He is watching over us!
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
I Peter 3: 12-14  KJV

This is something that we have as Christians a tendency to forget.  As thing get worse and worse in this world, we should take this passage to heart.  God loves us and will never forsake us, no matter what the trial or tribulation is. He blesses us even more if we suffer in His name.  So, do not be afraid and worry not about what is coming, for He stands beside each of us in our time of need, especially persecution.  Stand strong for Jesus and you will have all His love and more to bolster you.  Remember, the enemy can only kill the body, not the soul.

Stand tall for Jesus because He stands tall for you!!

The Second Coming--

With all that is happening in the world and here in the United States, things seem to pointing to Jesus' second coming.  I may be wrong, because only God knows when Jesus is coming back, but we are very close to a one world government and that is one of the prerequisets for it.  Not only that, but each one of us has no idea how much time we have left here on earth.  It matters not how old you are, you may not have the next second let alone the next year. My granddad and my dad both dropped over and died instantly with no time to repent of their respective sins. Thank the Lord, they both had accepted Him as their saviour.
Jesus loves all of us so much that He died on the cross for our sins.  He was the pure lamb who sacrificed Himself for each and everyone of us so that we might enjoy eternity with Him.  It was His choice to die for our sins and it is our choice to accept this wonderful gift.
My plea is for all of you who read this blog and everyone who does not know Jesus to contact someone who is a born again Christian and talk to them.  It is so easy to assure your salvation.  All you have to do is truly accept Jesus in your heart; repent of your sins; ask Him to forgive those sins; get to any Christian and get yourself baptized(immersed), so that you can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then you should attend a Bible believing church and hook up with your fellow Christian brothers and sisters.

God bless you and yours,

Helping Those in Need.

Christians often are afraid to evangelize. They are afraid that they will say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing and thereby drive people away from God and not lead them to Him.

God has a better way! Get out and help those in need. When you come upon someone who does not know Jesus, give them the help that they need, without them asking and at the same time, tell them about Jesus. Feed their need and their soul at the same time. Jesus said in Mark 12: 30-31, the second greatest of God's commandments is to love your neighbor as yourself. Would you allow yourself to starve or to go without clothes, etc.? No, you would not!

We are to help our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, also, when they have a need. Acts 2: 44-45, "All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need." We as Christians, seem to have gotten away from this premise. We have all kinds of stuff, yet we want more and do not use all the stuff that we have. Meanwhile, our neighbor is in need of something we have and are not using, or of food, clothing, etc. and we could sell some of our unused stuff and help them until they are back on their feet, just as the first century Christians did for each other. As a matter of fact, they even sold land to help the needy!

We need to stop thinking selfishly and start using our abundance to help those around us! One idea is to find a widow or orphan or family in need of food and when you go to the grocery store, buy one or two extra bags of groceries and deliver them to the ones who need it. Even an extra can or box of an item that is non-perishable that can be donated to the local food pantry. We all could do this each and every time we go to the store.

Right now is a good time for this, because our economy is tanking and a lot of people are suffering due to the loss of income. The price of food is going to get higher and we should stock up, not only to help ourselves, but to help others also.

If you are reading this and do not know Jesus, my heart goes out to you. God said "If you search for me with all your heart, I will be found!" Jesus is not hiding from you. He is patiently waiting for you to open your heart, mind and soul to Him. Just get on your knees, if you are able; repent of your sins; and ask Him to come into your heart. Then find a "Bible believing" church and get immersed (baptized). Please talk to someone and learn more about baptism before you do it. It is an important step for a believer.

May God richly bless you and keep you in His loving arms.

Tea parties--Only the beginning

Folks, I am afraid that as Christians we must rise up and defend our faith and our Constitution before it is too late! We must Stand in the gap for God. "And I sought for a man among them that should build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none." Ezek 22:30.

My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, God is looking for someone to stand in that gap!! Is he going to find none again; or do we face the enemy and know that God is there with us? If we stand in the gap, he will not destroy this country through the present administration and generation who have been brain washed by the liberals; those who are of the socialist persuasion?

Please find yourself a copy of the Constitution and learn it or relearn it and pass it on to the younger generations.

We as a country have done what Israel has done and gotten very far away from God. Do you not think that His anger does not burn against us as it did them in the Old Testament?

These "Tea Parties" are only the beginning. We want to retake America in a peaceful manner, but we must all ban together and remind our government that "We the people" are their boss and the Constitution is their guideline; that is to be followed and not ignored or changed at their will!

Please join me at: Central Pennsylvania 912 Group

I will keep you posted on further plans of this group and of the one in Williamsport.
