God is watching us-

He is watching over us!
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
I Peter 3: 12-14  KJV

This is something that we have as Christians a tendency to forget.  As thing get worse and worse in this world, we should take this passage to heart.  God loves us and will never forsake us, no matter what the trial or tribulation is. He blesses us even more if we suffer in His name.  So, do not be afraid and worry not about what is coming, for He stands beside each of us in our time of need, especially persecution.  Stand strong for Jesus and you will have all His love and more to bolster you.  Remember, the enemy can only kill the body, not the soul.

Stand tall for Jesus because He stands tall for you!!

The Second Coming--

With all that is happening in the world and here in the United States, things seem to pointing to Jesus' second coming.  I may be wrong, because only God knows when Jesus is coming back, but we are very close to a one world government and that is one of the prerequisets for it.  Not only that, but each one of us has no idea how much time we have left here on earth.  It matters not how old you are, you may not have the next second let alone the next year. My granddad and my dad both dropped over and died instantly with no time to repent of their respective sins. Thank the Lord, they both had accepted Him as their saviour.
Jesus loves all of us so much that He died on the cross for our sins.  He was the pure lamb who sacrificed Himself for each and everyone of us so that we might enjoy eternity with Him.  It was His choice to die for our sins and it is our choice to accept this wonderful gift.
My plea is for all of you who read this blog and everyone who does not know Jesus to contact someone who is a born again Christian and talk to them.  It is so easy to assure your salvation.  All you have to do is truly accept Jesus in your heart; repent of your sins; ask Him to forgive those sins; get to any Christian and get yourself baptized(immersed), so that you can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then you should attend a Bible believing church and hook up with your fellow Christian brothers and sisters.

God bless you and yours,

Helping Those in Need.

Christians often are afraid to evangelize. They are afraid that they will say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing and thereby drive people away from God and not lead them to Him.

God has a better way! Get out and help those in need. When you come upon someone who does not know Jesus, give them the help that they need, without them asking and at the same time, tell them about Jesus. Feed their need and their soul at the same time. Jesus said in Mark 12: 30-31, the second greatest of God's commandments is to love your neighbor as yourself. Would you allow yourself to starve or to go without clothes, etc.? No, you would not!

We are to help our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, also, when they have a need. Acts 2: 44-45, "All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need." We as Christians, seem to have gotten away from this premise. We have all kinds of stuff, yet we want more and do not use all the stuff that we have. Meanwhile, our neighbor is in need of something we have and are not using, or of food, clothing, etc. and we could sell some of our unused stuff and help them until they are back on their feet, just as the first century Christians did for each other. As a matter of fact, they even sold land to help the needy!

We need to stop thinking selfishly and start using our abundance to help those around us! One idea is to find a widow or orphan or family in need of food and when you go to the grocery store, buy one or two extra bags of groceries and deliver them to the ones who need it. Even an extra can or box of an item that is non-perishable that can be donated to the local food pantry. We all could do this each and every time we go to the store.

Right now is a good time for this, because our economy is tanking and a lot of people are suffering due to the loss of income. The price of food is going to get higher and we should stock up, not only to help ourselves, but to help others also.

If you are reading this and do not know Jesus, my heart goes out to you. God said "If you search for me with all your heart, I will be found!" Jesus is not hiding from you. He is patiently waiting for you to open your heart, mind and soul to Him. Just get on your knees, if you are able; repent of your sins; and ask Him to come into your heart. Then find a "Bible believing" church and get immersed (baptized). Please talk to someone and learn more about baptism before you do it. It is an important step for a believer.

May God richly bless you and keep you in His loving arms.

Tea parties--Only the beginning

Folks, I am afraid that as Christians we must rise up and defend our faith and our Constitution before it is too late! We must Stand in the gap for God. "And I sought for a man among them that should build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none." Ezek 22:30.

My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, God is looking for someone to stand in that gap!! Is he going to find none again; or do we face the enemy and know that God is there with us? If we stand in the gap, he will not destroy this country through the present administration and generation who have been brain washed by the liberals; those who are of the socialist persuasion?

Please find yourself a copy of the Constitution and learn it or relearn it and pass it on to the younger generations.

We as a country have done what Israel has done and gotten very far away from God. Do you not think that His anger does not burn against us as it did them in the Old Testament?

These "Tea Parties" are only the beginning. We want to retake America in a peaceful manner, but we must all ban together and remind our government that "We the people" are their boss and the Constitution is their guideline; that is to be followed and not ignored or changed at their will!

Please join me at: Central Pennsylvania 912 Group

I will keep you posted on further plans of this group and of the one in Williamsport.

Our Wonderful Forgiving Savior

Easter-The greatest celebration on earth!! Why? You ask. It is because Christ was born so that we may have eternal life in Heaven! We serve an awesome God. He loves us so much, that he sacrificed His only Son so that we could live.

By the word live, God means eternally with Him in Heaven. The only way that could be accomplished was for Jesus, who was sinless, to die on that cross and suffer the consequences of our sins. The sins of every man, woman and child from the beginning of time until the end of time. "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God" Romans 3:23 He died for you and me. The key is that He conquered death by rising out of the grave on the third day, thereby making it possible for us to access God and Heaven.

The greatest gift of all is waiting for you. All you have to do is humbly accept it. You do this by first, accepting Jesus as your Savior--Secondly, by repenting (asking forgiveness for your sins --Thirdly, "Confess with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 --Fourthly, by being baptized (immersed) so that you can be washed white as snow--Fifthly, remain faithful to Jesus and His teachings.

Please, if you do not already have Jesus as your Savior, get on your knees and go to Him. He loves you and is waiting patiently for you.

Worries

With all that is going on in this country and the world it would be easy to fall into the trap of worrying and fretting over every little thing. We as humans have a habit of worrying about some of the dumbest things. With Jesus, there is absolutely no reason to worry. He has promised that if we turn all our worries over to Him, no matter how small or big, He will bear our burdens. If you have not tried it, shame on you--God is true to His promises--Try Him, you will like Him! What an awesome God we serve.

Home at last!

Well, here I am at home. Ready for a good nights rest in my own bed. In case you are wondering, my wife and I took a vacation from March 20th to the 31st. We drove to Asheville, NC for the weekend, then we drove to Northport, AL and stayed there for the week. It is amazing how a lot of driving can give you time to think about things. Like what things are important in life, etc? Also, realizing what an amazing and loving God we have.

As far as the first question, the important things in life are our relationships to those around us. Money does not even enter the equation; nor do all the toys that we can accumulate over our lifetime. We must concentrate more on loving and caring for all those who we come in contact with. It does not matter if they are related to us or not. We do not have to hug and kiss everyone we meet, just show them what true love is through how you treat them. People can see through love that is being faked. Love must come from the heart, because that is Godly love!

Now for the second pondering. Whenever I or my wife or both take a trip, we always pray and ask for God's protection. We put our lives in His wonderful hands. On this trip, we had two close calls on the road. They both could have been disastrous, but through His grace and protection, we did not even touch the other vehicles even though they were very close as they cut us off. The key is to immediately thank God for His providence and protection.

I had no fear or worry, because I know that He is in control and He promises to take care of those who have accepted His Son, Jesus and have allowed Him into their hearts.

If you do not know Jesus, please accept Him into your heart and repent of your sins, then go get yourself immersed (baptized).

I love you and God loves you.

The True Spice of Life--Jesus

If people would just stop and think about all that is going on in the world and in America at this time, they would realize that the only way to true life here and in eternity is through Jesus Christ!!

I am saddened by the fact that so many people are closing their eyes to this fact. Satan is working overtime in this day and age. We Christians better wake up, also!! We have to remember that Jesus died for everyone in the world, not just a select few. First, we must witness to as many people as possible in our lifetime. Second, we must stand up and be counted among those who will fight to keep our liberty and stop the current tyranny that is happening in America. We must be willing to give our lives for Jesus just as He gave His life for us.

When we truly accept Jesus' love, we find that no matter what the circumstances, Jesus is the spice of life and is there through whatever we are going through. It does not matter how bleak things look, He is standing next to us giving us his strength and courage. All we have to do is tap into it.

Please, if you read this post and do not know Jesus on a personal basis, get on your knees and accept Him into your heart--Repent of and ask forgiveness for your sins--Go to a Bible believing church and get baptized(immersed), so that you can be washed white as snow and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a decision that you will never regret.

Apology

I must apologize to anyone who has or have been following my posts. I had major computer problems and ended up getting rid of my last computer. Therefore; I have been unable to continue my blogging. As I write this, I am sitting in a motel room in Northport, Alabama. My wife is visiting her son and his newborn(Nov. 2008). Her name is: Emma and she is adorable. I get to do whatever I want to do w/o Linda. I have already forgiven my step-son for not wanting me around, but it does not stop the hurt. As I have found out over the years, life is not fair. Praise the Lord that He is! Well I guess I will sign off for now.
